This two-bedroomed, five-year-old home is one of a little horseshoe of terraced houses next to the River Guadiaro. The village itself is one kilometre from the property and contains several bars, a pharmacy, a bank, a hotel, two general stores, a church and central square and a public library with internet access.The property is part of a small community around the railway station. Occupancy of the houses is rarely high, as the majority are weekend homes. Just beside the house is a restaurant - 'Quercus', open Thursdays to Sunday. There is also a bar close by, a telephone box as well as the railway station with trains to Granada and Algeciras. All around are rural and river walks.
Inside the house you will find tiled floors throughout. The long living room has dining table, two sofas and an armchair, TV, DVD player, Hi-Fi and open fireplace. There is also air conditioning. Beyond, there is a separate fully fitted kitchen with toaster, kettle, microwave, washing machine, fridge-freezer and hob. From here the back door opens on to the tiny rear patio - just room for the four chairs and small table.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double, one twin and a full bathroom.
The outdoor space is just the tiny patio at the rear. There is also the communal lawn outside front door.
Three minutes drive away is the newly constructed municipal outdoor swimming pool in a breathtaking setting a little higher up the valley.
Numerous walkers and birdwatchers' websites mention how excellent the restaurant Quercus is - it is a few steps from our door. There is even a little makeshift bar on the river bank in summer.
The village - Jimera de Libar - is 30 minutes from historic Ronda, and approx 70 minutes by car from the Costa del Sol.
