As a writer who has lived in over a dozen countries in the past seven years, I can testify that Istanbul is one of the most magical cities on the planet. Turks are extraordinarily friendly and inclusive. Istanbul is layer upon layer of civilization... truly humbling in its magnificence.

I chose this flat for three reasons: the neighborhood, the view, and the location. Homes with Bosphorus views in Istanbul are much coveted. From this apartment you have one of the most outstanding views to be found in Istanbul. The neighborhood of Cihangir (pronounced Chi-ONG-geur) is considered one of the best places in Istanbul to live and stay. It is like East Village in New York or Montmarte in Paris. It is bohemian with many excellent outdoor cafes, wonderful architecture, and cobblestone streets. You are close to just about anywhere you will want to go as the apartment is located centrally. - 10 min. walk to Taksim, five minutes walk to tram which will take you quickly to the old part of the city, and all around the neighborhood are restaurants and stores.

There are three bedroom with queen sized beds. There are also 2 single beds - one in the study area and one in the living room. All have excellent quality sheets and bedding and are very comfortable. Everything you need is included, towels, pots and pans...
It has a large balcony where you can barbeque, entertain, or even sleep if you wish. The kitchen is also quite large.

If you want to feel like you are PART of Istanbul as opposed to an observer only, this is the place to stay. You're not in a 'touristy' area, you are in a neighborhood that is a favorite of foreigners who have moved here from Europe and America, as well as many local Turks. The view will absolutely blow you away. The apartment is large enough for comfort but small enough to be cozy and filled with light. Look at the pictures and you'll see what I mean.
