The house is only 2 minutes walk from a good family restaurant on the bank of the Canal du Midi and 3 minutes from the centre of Villenueve-les-Beziers. Villeneuve is in fact not nearly as "neuve" as its name suggests - Founded in the 7th century, 200 years after its bigger neighbour, Beziers, it has a pictaresque medieval centre. The village has bakers, patisseries, two cafes, two restaurants (- one of them is our favourite restaurant of the region), and a food market twice a week.
