Villa - House to rent in Mazan Languedoc-Roussillon France

This spacious villa (200m2) in a parkland of Mediterranean pines, olive trees and Holm oak offers privacy and calm to be disturbed only by cicadas. A beautiful library with a piano, and two living rooms with superb views, make it a very comfortable holiday retreat. It is within easy reach of Provence's famous sights; Gordes, Mont Ventoux, Saint Remy de Provence, Avignon, and the Luberon.
About 100m from the house, is a full size tennis court which was resurfaced recently. The swimming pool is closer to the house but still far enough away that those quietly relaxing at the house need not be disturbed by the exuberant youth in the pool!

ACCOMMODATION

Downstairs
Large 45 m2 living/dining room with a leather sofa, 2 leather armchairs, as well as an inviting open fire-place. (TV, video-recorder). The dining area has an (extendable) table for 10 people; there is even a 'sunday best' dinner set for special occasions and generally in terms of cutlery, china and pots and pans the house is well equipped.
A steepish winding wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine gallery comprising a 'small' sitting room furnished with a sofa and two leather armchairs. From here there is a stunning view of Mont Ventoux.

The living room in leads into an 'old style' library with bookshelves lining walls, a sofa and 4 armchairs (30m2). The room has a piano and a hi-fi.

The Kitchen: is fully equipped with a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a large fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. There is a second large fridge freezer in the pantry next door.

Three Bedrooms: Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds (15m2 and 12m2), and the other has twin single beds (10m2). Bathroom with bath, bidet and wash-basin. Separate WC.

First Floor
Mezzanine leads to a Bedroom with twin beds. Shower room with wc.
The bedroom has french windows out to a very spacious roof terrace (70m2) with views both ways; over the front garden to the south and Mont Ventoux to the North. Two parts of the terrace are covered. They make ideal spots for a quiet read away from the rest of the party. This roof terrace is also reached by outdoor steps from the back garden.

Second Floor
Bedroom in a tower with views both North and South. Doublebed. Wonderful wooden beams and ceiling. Shower room with WC.

Outside
The front (South) terrace has a dining table seating 10.
The back garden has a built-in barbecue, and a ping-pong table.
The swimming pool (8x4m x 1.5m deep) is about 40m from the house.
Set in the 3 acre wooded park is a full-size tennis court (with plenty of space behind the baseline!), resurfaced in 2001, is about 100m from the house.

Other
A few tennis rackets, table-tennis bats, boules (or "petanques") and other games (like scrabble) are provided.
