Baan Talaykaeo, or Green Sea House, is a classic Ayudhaya style Thai villa, constructed from rich tropical hardwoods. Located on a hillside with fantastic views overlooking Big Buddha bay, Big Buddha temple, and Koh Phanghan. Baan Talaykaeo, a charming and comfortable rendition of traditional Thai architecture, offers 330 square metres of living space. The main living area upstairs is centered around a huge wooden deck, maximizing the expansive views. The front section of the open deck is a covered lounge area or sala, ideal for taking in the views and sunsets, while enjoying the clean air, sea breezes, and tropical climate. Bedrooms and a large fitted kitchen open off the deck, creating an ambiance of intimate privacy. The villa sleeps up to ten adults, with four air-conditioned double bedrooms, a huge VIP master suite with its own private balcony, and six bathrooms. Each of the generously equipped en-suite bedrooms features polished wooden floors, hand carved Thai furniture, a refrigerator, a personal safe, 25” TV, VCD player, and stereo system.

The ground floor of the house is raised above street level, and fronted by a covered private swimming pool, which also overlooks the sea. A billiards table adds to the entertainment facilities of the main ground floor lounge, and the open structure leads out into a tropical garden that envelops the property. Two of the double bedrooms are located on the ground floor. Big Buddha beach and temple are a short walk away, where shops, markets, water sports, cafes, and restaurants await your discovery. This northeastern coast of Koh Samui is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious spots on the island, favoured both due to its convenient location, a few minutes from Chaweng, Bophut, Bang Rak, Choeng Mon, and the airport, and the scenic views of the Big Buddha monument. The villa itself is located within a quiet and exclusive neighbourhood, ideal for strolls, and safely away from the main road. Amongst the many extras included in the villa are four mountain bikes for guests’ use to explore the island.
Housekeeping is provided by our live-in maid, who occupies a room downstairs, and is available to make breakfast, clean and tidy rooms, and looking after the property in general. She will also do laundry and ironing, and is happy to baby sit or supervise children if required. Complimentary breakfast is included, with choices of Thai and European dishes, fresh fruits, juices, tea, and coffee. Drinking water is also supplied free of charge.
