This is a small but well-equipped cottage close to the lively village plaza with a good choice of bars and restaurants, but is situated in a quiet street with parking close by. The cottage has everything you might need for a pleasant and comfortable stay in this beautiful area of Spain. The lounge has a leather sofa, SAT TV, DVD, CD and video. The bedroom on the first floor is bright and airy during the daytime, with a large window giving onto a small balcony. The bedroom has fitted wardrobes. The well-equipped kitchen is unusually situated on the first floor, but this is ideal in the spring, summer and autumn months when you can step onto the adjoining terrace to dine el fresco.
The popular village of Ardales has a good selection of bars and restaurants, small shops and banks. It also has 2 outdoor swimming pools (May to September) - one public and one attached to a restaurant which is free to use if you eat there, or costs 2euros a day for non-dining guests. We would recommend hiring a car as this would be the best way to explore the wonderful Natural Park of Ardales with its 3 turquoise lakes nestling in pine-covered mountains where there are some great lakeside restaurants and you can swim or hire pedaloes. However, if you do not wish to do this it is not necessary as there is a good bus service to Malaga and Ronda (both worth a visit) and we can arrange airport transfers and day trips.
