Situated in the beautiful Borrowdale valley, in the pretty village of Grange, Crag Lea commands stunning views of the Lakeland mountains from both the front and the back of the house, with a garden which is fabulous for summer barbeques. The house is an ideal base to explore the hundreds of walks that go straight from the front door.

The cottage is warm and comfortable with a large sitting room (with TV and video player). The kitchen has room for dining and is fully equipped. There are two double rooms and one twin room. The bathroom has bath with additional shower attachment, WC and basin. There is an additional toilet downstairs.

Pets are more than welcome in the cottage, although we are unable to accept more than one dog (unless by prior consent).

Borrowdale is a brilliant starting point for hundreds of walks – either on the mountain tops or along the bottom of the valley. Derwentwater lake is a hive of many activities – canoeing, kayaking, rowing or sitting back and relaxing as the Keswick launch takes you for a circular tour of the lake with drop off points for you to explore the lakeside more fully.

Grange village boasts two tearooms and two churches. There are plenty of pubs in the neighbouring Borrowdale villages. The nearest is the Borrowdale Hotel in ¾ mile in one direction or the Riverside bar at Rosthwaite (2 miles) in the other direction. There is also a village shop at Rosthwaite.
